Hi Darpan,

Its been long since I have been reading your articles and without making my presence felt here, I have been utilising the knowledge you scribbled here and this has also given me lot of information and insight of the true marketing strategies.

To come to the point, I agree to the kind of importance we need to give to understand the customer aspiration and their motivation. One thing that I would like to add here is the kind of navigation control we need to have in shopping portal. I would rather say that in process of promoting the product and USP of one's portal, we neglect the importance of design and navigation control. A ideal design would be the one who promotes free flow traffic moving from one pages to other by giving abvious navigation control features.

At the same time we need to understand that Navigation control and design suiting customer's convenience is an ongoing process. Everytime you try fixin up the loopholes or improve it, you keep coming across new channels for improvement. Now the biggest task is to maintain the same design and feel of the website with additional feature. Its would be a crime to keep changing the design every fortnight. I would request you to guide me on the manner in which you suggest such changes should be brought about.

Hi Darpan, Excellent article...

Could you recommend a good book that offers insight into these issues and technoques? Based on experience of successful online retailers like Amazon and Ebay?
