According to us, this is the right time for start up ventures. During the boom cycle, many ventures have easy access to funding. They compete with each other to acquire the same customer, thereby increasing the customer acquisition costs. This get reversed in a bear phase. Customer acquisition cost falls down tremendously leading to faster break even. Small start up ventures have lower overhead expenses and now with lower customer acquisition cost are in a far better position to compete. They have their ability to reduce product prices, thereby driving sales in a recession phase too.
